Tough Nite at Quad CIty
Denny Eckrich Motorsports wrapped up their WDRL Labor Day Weekend of races at the Quad City Raceway in East Moline, IL. A bad draw put the team behind the eight ball right away. By the time Eckrich was able to work his way through the back of the pack in his heat race. The front runners were already too far ahead. That put the "Flying 50" deep into the starting grid for the A-Main. Eckrich was forced to the pit area early in the 50-lap A-Main - official finish 21st.
8th At Deer Creek
Denny Eckrich Motorsports stopped at Deer Creek Speedway for a night with the WDRL. After qualifying 8th, Eckrich rolled out for the 40-lp A-Main in 8th, and finished 8th by race end.
Flying 50 Makes USA Nationals A-Main
Denny Eckrich Motorsports raced their way into the USA Nationals (Cedar Lake Speedway - New Richmond, WI) through their heat race. Eckrich started 18th in the A-Main, and he finished 21st.
Tough Luck at the Lake
The make-up WDRL feature at Cedar Lake Speedway was a tough night for Denny Eckrich Motorsports. Rain moved in on night two of the Masters over Father Day Weekend. The make-up A-Main was slated for August 1st. The night ended with a 21st place finish.
6th Place at Cedar Lake
Denny Eckrich Motorsports hit the ultra-fast Cedar Lake Speedway on Thursday, July 31st. After grabbing the top spot in WDRL Passing Points after Heat Races, Eckrich ran up front throughout the feature. Eckrich finished sixth.
Sixth At WDRL/Cedar Lake
The Flying 50 of Denny Eckrich traveled to Cedar Lake Speedway for three nights of racing. On Thursday, July 31, racing action was sanctioned by the WDRL. Eckrich took the top spot with Passing Points. Eckrich was battling in the top seven all night long before finally finishing 6th.
Friday will be the qualifying night for the USA Nationals, and they will has run the make-up feature from the "Masters." On Father's Day Weekend, the A-Main was ready to roll out onto the speedway when rain set it. That make-up feature will be run at the end of Friday night's qualifying events.
Good Night at Freeport
After three previous attempts, Mother Nature finally shined at Freeport Raceway Park for the WDRL. Eckrich raced a solid heat race and put himself into the Iowa-Illinois Taylor Insulation Pole Dash where he finished 5th.
At the start, Eckrich slipped back on the narrow racing surface. A late race charge by the Flying 50 put Eckrich back into the top five by ace end. Eckrich finished 5th.
